At Porter Veterinary Center in Northridge, CA, we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet’s health is vaccinating him or her against possible diseases. There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets, and other animals, so proper vaccination is vital to protecting them from many types of illnesses.
It is important to consult with us about the unique risks of living in our region. We will be happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your pet with vaccinations, as well as, provide you with information on the required vaccinations for your pet.
To be certain your pet is as healthy as possible, Porter Veterinary Center requires a physical examination prior to receiving vaccinations. If we haven’t seen your pet within a year, he/she will need an exam before we can vaccinate.
There is no substitute for the medical training and experience of a veterinarian. Veterinarians must assess a pet’s eligibility for a vaccine by reviewing a pet’s medical record, obtaining a history from a client, and performing a full physical – head to tail, top to bottom. While a pet may seem perfectly healthy to a pet owner, pets are notoriously good at hiding health issues from their families.
It is our goal to provide the highest level of care for your pet, and vaccination is an integral part of your pets’ overall health. Please contact us today if you have any questions or concerns about your pets’ vaccination.
