Exotic Surgery
Exotic animals are uniquely individual between species. The anesthetic medications that can be used in one exotic species may not be fit for another species. Our doctors and trained staff have the knowledge to make anesthesia as stress free and safe as possible for your exotic pet. Although there is no such thing as 0% risk when an animal is put under general anesthesia, our team makes your animal’s safety our number one priority. Each patient is monitored closely while under general anesthesia. We have the ability to monitor heart rate and rhythm, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure, along with other vital signs that give us important information to ensure your pet has as safe of an anesthetic event as possible. We are able to perform a variety of surgical procedures on exotic animals. We can perform spaying and neutering of many exotic pets in our hospital, as well as laceration repairs, biopsies, and other surgical procedures on larger exotic animals, many times in the field.
