Dr. Ronald Newman received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1977 from Purdue University. A native of New York, Dr. Newman was attracted to California by its beautiful weather and currently lives in Moorpark. While he is a general practitioner, Dr. Newman has an interest in dermatology/skin conditions. His goal as a veterinarian is to participate and play a professional role in the human-animal bond. He is pleased to be able to do this at Porter Pet Hospital with “a world-class staff of like-minded people.” Dr. Newman’s favorite breeds include Burmese Cats, Golden Retrievers, and Great Danes. In his time off, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his two cats ("Harry" and "Bob"), his dog ("Izzi"); gardening; cooking; and eating.
